Freshman Aarjun Pandit of Portland State University’s men’s tennis team has been named the Big Sky Men’s Tennis Player of the Week. This marks the first time a freshman from the program has received this honor.

Pandit played a key role in helping the Vikings secure their first victory over Montana State since 2021 and their first conference win since 2024. In doubles, he partnered with Ignacio Ruiz to defeat Camille Chantron and Eddie Biss, 6-4, earning Portland State the opening point. He then won his singles match against Andrew Stewart in straight sets, 6-1, 6-4.

With Saturday’s singles win, Pandit extended his winning streak at line one to four matches and improved his overall singles record to 4-2.

This recognition is Pandit’s first career conference award and also represents Portland State’s first Big Sky Player of the Week honor since 2021.
