The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) carried out an inspection at Port of Portland, Terminal 6 on April 23 for food and cosmetics technical assistance, according to data posted on the FDA’s website.
The inspection’s final report found that Port of Portland, Terminal 6 did not require any corrective action for the organization’s management operations.
The FDA regularly inspects facilities nationwide to assess whether workplaces and products meet FDA-regulated standards and laws designed to promote public health. Inspection findings are later made available to the public.
According to its website, the FDA is a federal agency that oversees the safety and quality of human and animal drugs, biological products, medical supplies and tobacco products throughout production and distribution.
