Portland Pilots guard Florence Dallow has been named the West Coast Conference (WCC) Player of the Week, marking her first time receiving this honor during the current season. This is also the second consecutive week that a member of the Pilots has earned a weekly conference award.
Dallow led her team with 18 points and eight rebounds in Portland’s recent victory over Oregon State Beavers, who are the reigning WCC Tournament champions. She achieved career-highs in both points and assists during the game and made a decisive three-point shot with just over a minute remaining to help secure the win. The victory was notable as it marked Portland’s first home win against Oregon State since 2002.
A native of New Zealand, Dallow has returned strong after an injury last year. She currently averages 10.2 points per game, along with 4.4 rebounds and 1.1 steals. Among her teammates, she is second in scoring and ranks third in free throw percentage among qualified players in the WCC at 84.1%.
The Pilots hold a record of 14-10 overall and are 8-4 in conference play this season. Their next matchup is scheduled for Thursday, Feb. 12 against Washington State Cougars in Pullman at 6 p.m., followed by a home game versus Santa Clara Broncos on Saturday, Feb. 14 at 5 p.m.
