On Thursday, May 22, former Ida B. Wells High School standout Kaia Young’s current collegiate team the Linfield Wildcats won 2-0 against the Illinois Wesleyan Titans in the NCAA Division III Softball Championship.

The game took place at Del Smith Stadium at 4 p.m. and was the first matchup against the Illinois Wesleyan Titans in the tournament.

The Linfield Wildcats’ next game will take place on Friday, May 23 at 2 p.m. at Del Smith Stadium.
