Jaylin Henderson has been named to the watch list for the 2026 State Farm College Slam Dunk Championship, which will be held at Hinkle Fieldhouse in Indianapolis on April 3. The event is part of the 37th annual State Farm College Slam Dunk & 3-Point Championships and will be broadcast nationally on ESPN on April 5 at noon Eastern Time.
Henderson, a senior guard from Wichita, Kansas, has played a key role for the Portland State Vikings this season. He is averaging 17.1 points, 4.1 rebounds, 6.1 assists, and 1.5 steals per game. Known for his highlight dunks and athleticism, Henderson features a vertical leap of 47 inches.
The championship event gathers top men’s and women’s college basketball players from across the country to compete in slam dunk and three-point shooting contests. In addition to the Slam Dunk Championship, other competitions include the E*TRADE Men’s 3-Point Championship, Celsius Women’s 3-Point Championship, and a team shootout. Winners of the men’s and women’s three-point contests will face off in the Skechers Battle of the Champions.
Indianapolis will host this event for the seventh time overall and third time at Hinkle Fieldhouse, which is home to the Butler Bulldogs.
Past participants have included notable basketball figures such as Gary Payton, Steve Nash, Cappie Pondexter, Odyssey Sims, Kris Jenkins, Jack Gohlke, Dyaisha Fair and Ariel Atkins.
