Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office seeks public input on tuition reimbursement policy draft

The Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office announced on Mar. 25 that it is seeking public feedback on a proposed tuition reimbursement policy. The agency has opened a 30-day “Stakeholder Review” period during which community members can share their comments or suggestions about the draft policy.

According to the announcement, all feedback submitted will become part of the public record. The Sheriff’s Office encourages interested individuals to visit its website for more information about Policy 255.00 – Tuition Reimbursement and to participate in the review process.

The office said it values community engagement and considers all comments when finalizing its policies. People can also sign up for email updates from the agency to stay informed about future policy reviews and other news.

Policies and procedures are described as guiding every aspect of operations at the Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office, including law enforcement, corrections, and business practices. Policies establish rules and goals for serving the public, while procedures provide step-by-step instructions for completing tasks.
