Portland Pilots women’s basketball guard Nicole Anderson has been named to the watch list for the Celsius Women’s 3-Point contest, which is part of the 37th annual State Farm College Slam Dunk & 3-Point Championships. The event will be held at Hinkle Fieldhouse in Indianapolis on Friday, April 3, and will air nationally on ESPN on Sunday, April 5.

The State Farm College Slam Dunk & 3-Point Championships brings together top men’s and women’s college basketball players from across the country to compete in slam dunk and three-point shooting events. The evening includes several competitions: the Slam Dunk Championship, E*TRADE Men’s 3-Point Championship, Celsius Women’s 3-Point Championship, and a team shootout. The winners of the Men’s and Women’s 3-Point Championships will face off in the Skechers Battle of the Champions. This year marks the seventh time Indianapolis has hosted the event and the third time it takes place at Hinkle Fieldhouse.

Anderson has had a strong debut season with Portland, averaging 7.9 points per game and making a team-high 46 three-pointers while shooting 35.7% from beyond the arc. On January 29 against Saint Mary’s, she made six three-pointers—matching her career high—which was also the most by a Portland player since 2023. Over her college career, including four years with LMU Lions where she shot 35.5% from outside and made 172 threes, Anderson has accumulated a total of 218 career three-pointers.

Portland has had previous representation at this event; Troy Collins participated in the dunk contest in 2000, while Casasandra Brown won the women’s three-point contest at Hinkle Fieldhouse in 2015.

Notable past participants in these championships include Gary Payton, Steve Nash, Cappie Pondexter, Odyssey Sims, Kris Jenkins, Jack Gohlke, Dyaisha Fair and Ariel Atkins.

“A complete roster of participants in the 2026 State Farm College Slam Dunk & 3-Point Championships will be released in the days leading up to the event,” according to organizers. “For more information, visit CollegeSlam.com, follow CollegeSlam on Twitter (@CollegeSLAM) and Instagram (@College_Slam).”
