On Thursday, May 29, former Ida B. Wells High School standout Kaia Young’s current collegiate team the Linfield Wildcats lost 11-3 against the Saint Mary’s Cardinals in the NCAA Division III Softball Championship.

The game took place at Inspiration Field at 1:30 p.m. and was the first matchup against the Saint Mary’s Cardinals in the tournament.

The Linfield Wildcats’ next game will take place on Friday, May 30 at 11 a.m. at Inspiration Field.
