The Portland Pilots announced on Mar. 19 their scheduled participation in the L&C Electric Forest Open, which will take place on Saturday, Mar. 21 at Griswold Stadium, hosted by Lewis and Clark College in Portland, Oregon.

The event is significant as it marks another opportunity for the Pilots’ track and field athletes to compete early in the outdoor season. The team has listed a full slate of entries across both men’s and women’s events, including sprints, middle-distance, distance races, and relays.

Among the scheduled participants are Giuliano Scasso in the men’s 3000-meter steeplechase; Malia Harvey, Aria Cain, Lola Richardson, and Alexis Leao in the women’s 4×100-meter relay; and Megan Crum leading a group of nine entrants in the women’s 1500 meters. The men’s team will also be represented by Trey Gannon, Nathan Stein, Jacob Hupke, Elliot Hawley, Yutaka Roberts, among others across various distances. On the women’s side, Rose Perotin and Jillian Bremont are set for the 400 meters while Aaliyah Nero will compete in both sprint events.

Looking ahead to next week’s schedule, the Pilots plan to return to action on Saturday at George Fox Indoor 2 hosted by George Fox University. Athletes Malia Rose Harvey, Aaliyah Nero and Olivia Sendelbach are expected to compete in the women’s 60 meters as part of their indoor campaign.

In their last meet at the Erik Anderson Memorial Icebreaker Invitational at Maxwell Field earlier this month, KG Monyebodi won the men’s 10,000 meters with a personal-best time of 28:58.31. Several teammates also achieved personal records during that race. On the women’s side at that meet, Aaliyah Nero finished with times of 13.74 seconds in the 100 meters and 28.31 seconds in the 200 meters.

Live results for upcoming meets will be available on PortlandPilots.com.
