On Friday, March 13, Colby Getting, a former Portland Christian Jr/Sr High School standout, helped his current collegiate team, the Point Loma Sea Lions, to a 76-61 victory over the Northwest Nazarene Nighthawks in the NCAA Division II Basketball Tournament.

Pioneer Gymnasium hosted the noon matchup, marking the team’s first tournament contest against Northwest Nazarene.

The Sea Lions are scheduled to play again on Saturday, March 14, at 5 p.m., also at Pioneer Gymnasium.

Portland State track and field athletes overcame rain-soaked conditions at the John Knight Twilight meet with several standout performances including multiple personal records. Freshman Hannah Butterfield led highlights with a top finish in the women’s 400 meters while relays also posted season-best times.
