Portland Pilots Women’s Basketball will travel to face the Washington State Cougars before returning home for a matchup against the Santa Clara Broncos. The game against Washington State is scheduled for Thursday, Feb. 12 at 6 p.m. in Pullman, while the Pilots will host Santa Clara on Saturday, Feb. 14 at 5 p.m. at the Chiles Center.
The upcoming home game will be broadcast on KUNP and ESPN+. Fans can access tickets, live statistics, and streaming options through PortlandPilots.com.
Currently, the Pilots hold a record of 14-10 overall and are 8-4 in West Coast Conference (WCC) play following a narrow win over Oregon State. Florence Dallow led with a career-high 18 points and eight rebounds in that game, marking her fifth time as leading scorer this season and earning her WCC Player of the Week honors. Dyani Ananiev contributed 12 points, reaching double digits for the 14th time this year.
The team leads the WCC in several statistical categories: blocks per game (6.3), turnovers forced per game (21.0), assists per game (17.5), and steals per game (11.1). Nationally, they rank among the top teams in blocks, turnovers forced, assists, steals, and bench points per game.
Despite missing five games recently, Julia Dalan remains first nationally in blocks per game (3.42) and has recorded multiple eight-block performances this season—a unique feat nationwide.
Ananiev leads the team with an average of 11 points per contest and tops the conference in total steals (59). Rhyan Mogel is fourth in both assists per game (4.9) and total assists within the conference.
Head coach Michael Meek is now in his seventh season with Portland. Under his leadership, Portland has won multiple WCC Tournament titles as well as last year’s regular-season title after setting program records for wins both overall (31) and within conference play (17).
Washington State enters Thursday’s contest with a record of 5-21 overall and is coming off a split result during their recent road trip to Southern California. Earlier this season, Portland defeated Washington State at home by a score of 62-49.
Santa Clara stands at 18-7 overall—tied with Portland for fourth place in WCC standings—and lost their most recent matchup to Pacific Tigers on the road. When these teams met earlier this year at Santa Clara’s venue, Portland overcame a deficit to win by seven points.
