Portland Pilots ranked seventh in WCC beach volleyball preseason poll

The West Coast Conference (WCC) has released its 2026 preseason poll for beach volleyball, ranking the Portland Pilots seventh among the conference teams. The announcement was made Thursday afternoon.

The Pilots are set to begin their season next week at the Corban Tournament in Salem, Oregon. More information about the team and upcoming matches can be found on their official website, PortlandPilots.com.

According to the WCC Beach Volleyball Coaches Preseason Poll, LMU leads with 36 points and six first-place votes. Pepperdine follows with 30 points and one first-place vote. Santa Clara is third with 27 points, followed by Saint Mary’s (20), San Francisco (17), Pacific (9), and Portland (8).

The conference also named its All-West Coast Conference Beach Volleyball Preseason Team for 2026. The list includes Hannah Couch from Saint Mary’s; Emma Eden and Gabriella Perez from Pepperdine; Chloe Hooker, Anna Pelloia, Ines Piret, Magdalena Rabitsch, and Tanon Rosenthal from LMU; Branson Lennon from San Francisco; and Sadie Snipes from Santa Clara.
