The Portland Pilots women’s rowing team will compete at the Puget Sound Invite in Lakewood, Washington, with races scheduled for Saturday, March 14. The event will take place at American Lake and is set to begin at 9 a.m.

This competition follows a successful weekend for the Pilots, where the third varsity eight boat secured the team’s first win of the season at the Sacramento State Invitational. The same crew also won their race last year at the Sac State Invite. All varsity eight boats finished third or better in their respective events, while the varsity four placed fourth.

The lineup for this weekend’s races includes two varsity eight boats and two varsity four boats. The Varsity Eight features Leahbelle Paladino as coxswain, with rowers Julia Kiplinger, Shelby Hack, Molly Spraker, Rachel Hester, Claire Banasky, Kylin Gahlmann, Veronica Conklin, and Aneta Seböková. The Second Varsity Eight is led by coxswain Natalie Petty and includes Isabella Honig, Nevaeh Rhodes, Felicity Bishop, Elizabeth Adams, Zoe Del Vecchio, Mina Mihajlovic, Madie Quinton, and Sam Kronis.

For the Varsity Four event, Bella Valenzuela serves as coxswain alongside Averie Zealley, Massey Willis, Phoebe Price, and Tania Hernandez. The Second Varsity Four consists of Helena Tran as coxswain with Megan Eckels, Addison Burleigh (seat two), and Madie Monteith (seat one).
