The outcome is significant for both teams as it keeps the series competitive and provides momentum for the Pilots heading into their next matchup. The results also reflect strong individual performances from several players on both sides.

In Game 1, Portland lost 8-5 after giving up five runs in the seventh inning. Brady Bean and Dakota Chun each went 2-for-5 with a home run, with Bean driving in three runs and Chun two. Cole Katayama-Stall and JT Landwehr also contributed with two hits each. Trey Newmann started for Portland, pitching six innings with four strikeouts, while Kaden Segel took the loss after allowing two runs in one inning. Nolan Umlandt made his season debut, and Alex Via closed out the game.

Game 2 saw Portland come back to win 8-6. Jonas Salk and Leo Cote each went 2-for-4 with a home run and two RBIs. Carter Stewart added two hits and two RBIs, while Chun and Bean also drove in runs. Logan Anderson started for Portland, pitching five innings with six strikeouts—a season and career high for him. Trey Swygart earned his second win of the year by pitching nearly four innings in relief, while Via secured his second save of the season by striking out a batter with the bases loaded in the ninth inning.
