Portland Pilots Women’s Basketball will conclude their regular season road schedule this week with games against the Oregon State Beavers and Seattle U Redhawks. The team faces Oregon State on Thursday, February 19 at 6 p.m. in Corvallis, followed by a matchup with Seattle U on Saturday, February 21 at 1 p.m. in Seattle.

Both contests will be available to watch on ESPN+, and fans can access audio broadcasts through the Pilots Sports Network. Live statistics and additional coverage are offered at PortlandPilots.com.

The Pilots hold a 15-11 overall record and are 9-5 in West Coast Conference (WCC) play. Last week, they defeated the Washington State Cougars 68-61 after overcoming a slow start but then lost to the Santa Clara Broncos 77-66. In those games, Rhyan Mogel achieved a career-high of 20 points against Washington State, while Lainey Spear scored a career-best 20 points versus Santa Clara.

Florence Dallow and Dyani Ananiev have been consistent contributors, each reaching double-digit scoring multiple times this season. Jada Kennedy also set a personal best with nine rebounds in the win over Washington State.

Statistically, Portland leads the WCC in blocks per game (5.9), assists per game (17.3), turnovers forced per game (20.7), and steals per game (11.0). Nationally, they rank among the top teams for blocks and assists per contest.

Julia Dalan is currently leading the nation in blocks per game (3.4) despite being sidelined since January, while Dyani Ananiev leads the conference in both total steals and steals per game.

Head coach Michael Meek is now in his seventh season with Portland. Under his leadership, the program has won three WCC Tournament titles since 2020 and captured last season’s regular season championship with a record-setting 31 wins overall.

Reflecting on last year’s achievements, “Their 31 wins were a program record and their 17 wins in WCC play were also a new high for the program,” according to team information provided by Portland Pilots Athletics.

Oregon State enters Thursday’s matchup with an 18-9 overall record and sits second in the WCC standings at 10-4. The Beavers recently secured a victory over Pacific and finished last season as WCC Tournament champions before falling to North Carolina in the NCAA Tournament’s first round.

Seattle U holds a 5-20 overall mark and is near the bottom of the conference standings at 1-13 in league play under third-year head coach Skyler Young.

Fans interested in attending future home games can find ticket information at PortlandPilots.com/Tickets or through the official app. Supporters may also contribute to University of Portland Athletics through donations that benefit student-athletes across all sports programs.
