The Portland women’s tennis team won a 4-0 victory over the Pacific Tigers on April 2 in West Coast Conference play at the Louisiana-Pacific Tennis Center.

This result gives the Pilots a season record of seven wins and eight losses, with two wins and three losses in conference matches. The win also helps improve their standing within the West Coast Conference.

Portland secured the doubles point after Alaia Rubio Perez and Maria Galatescu won their match at No. 1 doubles, followed by Dariya Radulova and Lexie Flores clinching another victory at No. 2 doubles. In singles, Radulova quickly defeated Indiya McLeod to put Portland ahead by two points. Rubio Perez came from behind to win her singles match against Milena Maiorova, while Nadine Arbaizar Martinez sealed the overall team victory with a three-set win over Rayna Sugai.

Other matches included unfinished or not started contests for Maria Galatescu, Meagan Pearson, and Lexie Flores due to Portland securing enough points for an early finish.

The Pilots will continue their conference schedule at home on Saturday against Saint Mary’s Gales. More information about upcoming matches is available on PortlandPilots.com.
