Quincy Scott, a former Grant High School standout now playing for the Northwest Nazarene Nighthawks, is set to participate in the Division II NCAA Basketball Tournament.
The Nighthawks open the tournament as the No. 6 seed and will face the third-seeded Point Loma Sea Lions.
The opening matchup is scheduled for Friday, March 13, at 12 p.m. at Pioneer Gymnasium.
Lightning interrupted Friday’s John Knight Twilight track meet after several Portland State athletes set new personal records across multiple events. Postponed competitions are scheduled to resume Saturday morning.

Portland State track and field athletes overcame rain-soaked conditions at the John Knight Twilight meet with several standout performances including multiple personal records. Freshman Hannah Butterfield led highlights with a top finish in the women’s 400 meters while relays also posted season-best times.
