The Police Accountability Commission is a City advisory group consisting of community members developing a new accountability system for Portland police, including a new investigatory and disciplinary structure and oversight board. This email is a public meeting notice for the Police Accountability Commission for January 2023.

Public Meeting NoticeThe Police Accountability Commission has one remaining sub-committee meeting in December:

The Police Accountability Commission will hold two full commission meetings in January:

• Police Accountability Commission Meeting: 
  Thursday, January 19, 6:30-9 PM
• Police Accountability Commission Meeting:
  Thursday, January 26, 6:30-9 PM

 The Police Accountability Commission has also scheduled meetings for its Powers and Duties Sub-Committees in January:

• PAC Sub-Committee on Access to Information:
  Thursday, January 5, 6:30-9 PM
• PAC Sub-Committee on Officer Accountability:
  Monday, January 9, 6:30-9 PM
• PAC Sub-Committee on Structural Oversight:
  Thursday, January 12, 7-9 PM
• PAC Sub-Committee on Structural Oversight:
  (tentative) Monday, January 23, 6:30-9 PM
• PAC Sub-Committee Meeting (specific sub-committee TBD):

Finally, the Police Accountability Commission will also hold a two-part Community Listening Session + Q&A in January:

• PAC Community Listening Session + Q&A (Part 2, virtual):

The Police Accountability Commission will not meet on January 2 in observance of New Years Day, or on January 16 in observance of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day.

The Police Accountability Commission generally meets on Thursday, with sub-committee and other meetings occurring on Monday. Rarely, a week will have these meetings reversed, with the full commission meeting Monday. Meetings generally start at 6:30 or 7 PM. As more information is finalized for each meeting, it will be posted at the links above. The links include Zoom connection information and in-person viewing sites for members of the public to observe the meeting and participate with public comment, agenda items for the meeting, and other documents. Meeting reports will also be posted at this link after the meeting.
