Dear Portlanders,

The Police Accountability Commission is a City advisory group consisting of community members developing a new accountability system for Portland police, including a new investigatory and disciplinary structure and oversight board. This email is a public meeting notice for the Police Accountability Commission for January 2023.

 The Police Accountability Commission has also scheduled meetings for its Powers and Duties Sub-Committees in January:

Finally, the Police Accountability Commission will also hold a two-part Community Listening Session + Q&A in January:

  • PAC Community Listening Session + Q&A (Part 1, in-person):
    Tuesday, January 10, 6:30-8:30 PM
  • PAC Community Listening Session + Q&A (Part 2, virtual):
    (tentative) Tuesday, January 31, 6:30-8:30 PM
The Police Accountability Commission will not meet on January 2 in observance of New Years Day, or on January 16 in observance of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day.

The Police Accountability Commission generally meets on Thursday, with sub-committee and other meetings occurring on Monday. Rarely, a week will have these meetings reversed, with the full commission meeting Monday. Meetings generally start at 6:30 or 7 PM. As more information is finalized for each meeting, it will be posted at the links above. The links include Zoom connection information and in-person viewing sites for members of the public to observe the meeting and participate with public comment, agenda items for the meeting, and other documents. Meeting reports will also be posted at this link after the meeting.
