Lightning interrupted Friday’s John Knight Twilight track meet after several Portland State athletes set new personal records across multiple events. Postponed competitions are scheduled to resume Saturday morning.

Portland State softball earned a decisive win over Weber State with strong hitting and pitching performances. Sherreigh Nakoa-Chung pitched a complete game as PSU tallied thirteen hits. The Vikings will host Oregon State next week.

Portland State track and field athletes overcame rain-soaked conditions at the John Knight Twilight meet with several standout performances including multiple personal records. Freshman Hannah Butterfield led highlights with a top finish in the women’s 400 meters while relays also posted season-best times.
