The male suspect arrested in relation to the deputy-involved shooting that occurred on Wednesday, October 5th, has been released from the hospital and booked into the Multnomah County Detention Center.
Tristen William Borges, 31, of Portland, is booked on the following charges:
- Attempted aggravated murder
- Escape in the first degree
- Attempted assault in the first degree
- Theft in the first degree
- Reckless endangering of another person
- Resisting arrest
- Unauthorized use of a motor vehicle
- Unlawful use of a weapon
- Felon in possession of a firearm
- Failure to perform the duties of a driver
- Criminal mischief in the second degree
- Felon in possession of a firearm
- Parole violation
The Sheriff’s Office will release more information about the incident once additional investigative steps are completed. Some investigative steps include, interviewing witnesses and those involved, reviewing statements, and processing evidence. This must be done in a thorough and methodical manner, which takes time. We appreciate the public’s understanding and patience.
