Congratulations, Lt. Asboe!

Earlier this week, Lt. Doug Asboe was honored with the Catalyst Award by the State Land Board for his compassionate leadership addressing the impacts of long-term camping on Oregon’s public waterways. At the helm of MCSO’s Homeless Outreach and Programs Engagement (HOPE) Team, Lt. Asboe works day-in and day-out to build networks with service providers and create trustworthy relationships with vulnerable populations in the field to connect them with needed services.

Governor Kate Brown, Treasurer Tobias Read, and Secretary of State Shemia Fagan presented Lt. Asboe with the award.

“The Catalyst Award recognizes the people who bring change – the people whose spark lights our way, whose words and actions lead us toward a better world,” said Governor Kate Brown, who presented the award. “Lieutenant Doug Asboe has been a catalyst in so many ways.”

Congratulations, Lt. Asboe!
