On Monday, March 13, 2023 at 3:33 a.m., officers from the East Precinct responded to a call for welfare check for a person lying in the street near the intersection of Southeast 141st Avenue and Southeast Harrison Street. Officers arrived to find an adult male who was deceased.
The Portland Police Homicide Unit has responded to investigate. During the investigation, Southeast 141st Avenue will be closed between Southeast Harrison Street and Southeast Division Street. Additionally, Southeast Harrison Street will be closed between Southeast 140th Avenue to Southeast 143rd Avenue. The identity of the victim will be released after they are positively identified, the Medical Examiner has confirmed cause of death, and after family members have been notified.
The PIO is not responding to the scene. More information will be released when appropriate.
